Re: Alliance Logo
I like it, its very formal and professional. Does the blue symbolize something?

Logo
nice job.
edges look really sharp, too sharp IMO. filter and shade it if you can.
also, not comfortable with all the pixelation on the wings. but, im picky.

I think it is awesome, just not digging all of the blue, maybe try mixing blue and another color.

Re: Alliance Logo
The blue is supposedly our alliance color, the pixelation is a texture and can be removed. The final will be shaded. I'll look into another color and add some Latin that talks about us below it, like in a coat of arms.... I personally don't like all the blue, though.

Re: Alliance Logo
Maybe cross a C at the bottom right of the D.
If you link up the banners, then i can make the image transparent later tonight. The banner might be a little too much at the bottom. Add destruction crew in a banner like the one at the top and make it curve in my opinion. and maybe also...in the blue edges, add a wreath of some sorts at a curve in it. so it borders both silver sides, a corner stone if you will.
by the way, try using gimp with it. I can help you some, however google has been my best help ever just say how do i ___ in gimp and it will tell you. Crop, the scissor tool, layers, copy & paste (usually have 5 windows open at a time for different images i add onto it, hence copy and paste), font, and color are the main tools i use. Remember to layer everything though. layering is key to all works.

Microsoft Publisher works fine for me. So you want me to put the base up, and the banners, and let you handle the rest?

Re: Alliance Logo
"...in Rome they were symbols of martial victory, crowning a successful commander during his triumph. Whereas ancient laurel wreaths are most often depicted as a horseshoe shape, modern versions are usually complete rings.
In common modern idiomatic usage it refers to a victory. The expression "resting on one's laurels" refers to someone relying entirely on long-past successes for continued fame or recognition."
